Welcome to the Satellite Oceanography Laboratory at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Our lab trains undergraduate and graduate students and conducts research in Remote Sensing and Satellite Oceanography. We are funded by the NASA Physical Oceanography Program and South Carolina Space Grant Consortium.
MS/Ph.D Research Assistantship in Marine Science/Department of
Geological Sciences (Specialization in Physical
Oceanography/Satellite Oceanography)
The Satellite Oceanography Laboratory at the University of South
Carolina, Columbia invites applications from qualified students to our
M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Marine Science and Department of Geological Sciences
to work on problems in Physical Oceanography/ Satellite Oceanography/

for more information. A bachelor's or master's degree in
oceanography, meteorology, physics, engineering, computer sciences,
applied mathematics or related field is required.
Applicants should have strong mathematical and computer skills. Review
of applications is ongoing through Summer 2008, and will continue
until the positions are filled. Enrollment beginning Spring
2009 is expected.
